Senior Project Manager- Land Development
Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead land and site development projects throughout North Florida. This role is responsible for managing all phases of project delivery—from due diligence and entitlement through design, permitting, and construction support—while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring successful project outcomes.The ideal candidate will bring in-depth knowledge of Florida development regulations, strong leadership skills, and experience managing complex commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management & DeliveryLead and manage multiple land and site development projects simultaneouslyOversee project scope, schedules, budgets, and quality assuranceDirect multidisciplinary teams including civil engineers, planners, landscape architects, and subconsultantsEnsure timely and cost-effective project delivery aligned with client and company expectationsTechnical OversightProvide senior-level guidance on site design, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion controlReview engineering plans, reports, and specifications for accuracy and complianceEnsure designs meet local, state, and federal regulations, including Florida EPD and municipal requirementsPermitting & EntitlementsManage zoning, permitting, and entitlement processes across various Georgia jurisdictionsCoordinate with local agencies, counties, and municipalities to secure necessary approvalsNavigate Georgia-specific environmental and land disturbance permitting processes (e.g., NPDES, LDP approvals)Client & Stakeholder ManagementServe as primary client contact and trusted advisorBuild and maintain strong relationships with developers, municipalities, and regulatory agenciesLead project meetings, presentations, and public hearings as neededFinancial & Risk ManagementDevelop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource plansMonitor project financial performance and profitabilityIdentify project risks and implement mitigation strategiesManage contracts, scope changes, and invoicingBusiness DevelopmentSupport proposal preparation, fee development, and scope definitionParticipate in client interviews and pursuit strategiesIdentify and cultivate new business opportunities within the Georgia marketLeverage industry relationships to support firm growthRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related fieldLicensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida (or ability to obtain within 6 months)10+ years of experience in land and site development engineering5+ years of project management experienceStrong knowledge of grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management, and site designExperience with Florida regulatory frameworks (EPD, local jurisdictions, NPDES permitting)Proven track record in managing multiple projects and teamsThe things about us you will appreciate!Our Comprehensive Benefit Package Includes The Following Three medical plan options Dental & vision plans Company-paid group life, short and long-term disability insurance Voluntary Life Insurance Flexible and Dependent care spending accounts Additional Supplemental plans (Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, Accident) 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off (PTO), which starts accruing upon hire
