Nurse Practitioner - General Neurology

Bristol Health Medical Group is an expanding network of community-based practices staffed by over one hundred of the region's most skilled primary care physicians, specialty care physicians and advanced practice providers dedicated to Bristol Hospital's goal of being one of the best community hospitals in Connecticut.We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Outpatient Neurology team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment with a focus on chronic neurological condition management, follow-ups, and preventative care.You'll be part of a well-supported practice dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients with a wide range of neurological disorders, including migraines, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, neuropathies, and cognitive conditions.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments in the outpatient clinicDiagnose, treat, and manage chronic neurological conditionsOrder and interpret diagnostic studies (MRI, EEG, labs, etc.)Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with supervising neurologistsProvide patient and family education on disease processes, treatment options, and lifestyle modificationsCoordinate care with other specialties and community resourcesMaintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR systemQualifications:Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (AGNP, FNP, or ANP) or Physician AssistantNational board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)CT Controlled Substance Registration and DEA1+ year of neurology, primary care, or internal medicine experience preferred (new grads with neurology clinical rotations welcome)Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and communication skillsWhat We Offer:Monday–Friday daytime schedule (no nights, weekends, or call)Competitive salary and full benefits packOpportunities for subspecialty focus (e.g., headache, MS, movement disorders)Supportive onboarding and mentorship program for APPsCollaborative and team-based practice culture
