Senior ETL/ Informatica DeveloperLocation: Must be Day 1 onsite in McLean VA on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.Duration: 07+ months Contract (Possibility of Conversion)Must Haves:Power Center 8+SQL, Unix Scripting, Snowflake DBInformatica IICSSnowflakes DBHive & Hadoop ecosystemExperience: 5 - 7 yearsTop Skills:Expert with Informatica PowerCenter v8.x and higher.Extensive knowledge of coding languages including SQL, Unix Scripting.Experience with Hive & Hadoop ecosystemKnowledge on Informatica IICSJob Description:Responsibilities:Works with analyst and developers to incorporate data quality checks into ETL routines.Assist in the development, maintenance, and support of a data mart application.Troubleshoot and tune existing data mart applications. Assist in creating new or enhanced components of the data mart.Implement best practices and methodologies and function as a technical expert in the design, development, modification and debugging of data models, databases, etc.Support the development of new software or enhances existing software and integrate into new or modified systems and/or operational environments.Assist reporting team in optimizing the ETL process to ensure that business requirements are met.Documents all phases of work including gathering requirements, database diagrams, source to target mappings and other program technical specifications using current specified design standards for new or revised solutions.Troubleshooting any issues that may arise.Providing maintenance supportRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Expert with Informatica PowerCenter v8.x and higher.Extensive knowledge of coding languages including SQL, Unix Scripting.Experience with Hive & Hadoop ecosystemKnowledge on Snowflake DBKnowledge on Informatica IICSKnowledge with columnar databases.Proficiency in warehousing architecture techniques.Proven work experience as an ETL Developer.Strong project management skills.Ability to analyze a company's big-picture data needs.Clear communication skills.Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems.
