This role is responsible for translating creative concepts into production-ready garments through precise technical specifications, fit execution, and cross-functional collaboration.The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and product lifecycle management, along with the ability to problem-solve and maintain brand standards throughout development.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical DevelopmentCreate and maintain comprehensive tech packs, including sketches, measurements, grading, and construction detailsDevelop and document BOMs, packaging specifications (care/content labels, carton markings, fold/hanger packs, UPCs, etc.)Fit & Garment ConstructionLead and participate in fit sessions on live modelsEvaluate fit and communicate adjustments to ensure design integrity, comfort, and functionalitySample & Production ReviewPartner with pattern makers and manufacturers to review prototypes and pre-production samplesEnsure all samples meet fit, quality, and design standardsProblem SolvingIdentify and resolve construction and development issues throughout the product lifecycleProvide solutions that balance aesthetic, functional, and cost considerationsCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with design, product development, and production teamsEnsure alignment with brand standards, timelines, and cost targetsMaterials & Construction ExpertiseApply knowledge of fabrics, trims, and garment construction techniques to support product intentQuality AssuranceSupport the development and enforcement of quality standardsEnsure consistency in durability, comfort, and overall product performance QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or a related fieldExperience3-5 years of technical design experience within the apparel industryExperience with women's products required; outerwear or activewear experience is a plusTechnical SkillsProficiency in Adobe Illustrator and CAD softwareStrong understanding of garment construction, pattern-making, and fit analysisCore CompetenciesHigh attention to detail, especially in measurements and gradingStrong communication skills for cross-functional and vendor collaborationProactive problem-solving and analytical thinkingAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Benefits401(k)Health insurancePaid holidays (including select religious holidays)Commuter benefits
