About the RoleSunrock is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Manager to lead electrical maintenance and reliability efforts across our asphalt operations. This role is responsible for overseeing electrical systems, managing preventive maintenance programs, responding to breakdowns, and ensuring compliance with national and local electrical codes.The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience, deep technical knowledge of industrial electrical systems, and the ability to manage people, projects, and budgets in a fast-paced operational environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, train, and mentor electrical maintenance technicians and electriciansPlan and execute preventive maintenance programs for electrical systemsTroubleshoot and respond to electrical breakdowns and system failuresEnsure compliance with NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 70B standardsPerform and oversee electrical testing, inspections, and repairsCoordinate with vendors and contractors for electrical services and materialsManage electrical maintenance and project budgetsSupport electrical controls and automation systemsReview and develop electrical drawings and facility layoutsMonitor energy usage and implement efficiency improvementsMaintain accurate maintenance records and prepare reportsPromote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all safety policiesMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required10+ years of experience in electrical maintenance or industrial electrical operationsPrevious electrical maintenance management or leadership experienceStrong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and controlsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprintsValid North Carolina Driver's License requiredPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldProfessional Engineer (PE) license a plusLicensed Electrician certification preferredExperience supporting asphalt plants, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environmentsSkills & CompetenciesElectrical maintenance leadershipPreventive maintenance planningElectrical troubleshooting and diagnosticsProject and budget managementOSHA and NFPA complianceTeam leadership and employee developmentStrong communication and problem-solving skillsWork EnvironmentPrimarily office-based with regular field exposureOccasional exposure to electrical hazards, moving equipment, and industrial environmentsStandard business hours with flexibility for emergencies or outagesWhat We OfferHighly competitive pay based on skills & certificationsRelocation assistance available$1,000 referral bonus programPTO that grows with years of ?? 8 paid holidays starting Day 1Full benefits package — medical, dental, vision, life insuranceDisability & supplemental benefits that pay cash directly to you401(k) with 4% company matchSafety Incentive ProgramApprenticeship & Training Programs:CDL Driver ApprenticeshipHeavy Equipment Operator ApprenticeshipASE Certification Pathways for MechanicsForeman & Leadership Development ProgramsWell-maintained, modern equipment
