Position OverviewReporting directly to the Director of Network Operations, this role is built for someone who likes being in the middle of the action. You'll keep networks running, fix what breaks, and help build what's next across both fiber and microwave infrastructure. Some days you'll be deep in troubleshooting; other days you'll be on a rooftop bringing a new site online. This is not a desk-only role. It's for someone who understands how networks operate in the real world. CCNP or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.You'll be keeping networks up, fixing what breaks, building what's next, and making sure everything runs the way it's supposed to across both fiber and microwave infrastructure. Some days you're deep in troubleshooting, other days you're on a rooftop bringing a new site online.This is not a sit-behind-a-desk role. It's for someone who knows how networks work in the real world.CCNP or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.Core Responsibilities - What You'll Be DoingKeep the Network RunningHandle day-to-day network issues, alerts, and customer problemsAct as a Tier 2 escalation point for complex issuesDrive root cause resolution, not just quick fixesProvide after-hours and weekend support as neededParticipate in an on-call rotation for network incidentsBuild and DeployInstall and deploy routers, switches, microwave radios, and wireless equipmentWork with Cisco, Ubiquiti, and similar platformsTravel to sites, including rooftops and elevated environmentsRun and test fiber and copper to ensure performance and reliabilityOwn the Wireless SideDeploy and align ISP-grade microwave backhaul linksTroubleshoot RF issues including interference and signal degradationMaintain stable, high-performance wireless connectivityMake It BetterSupport upgrades, expansions, and infrastructure improvementsMaintain accurate documentation and configurationsIdentify recurring issues and implement long-term fixesSupport and CommunicateRespond to tickets, calls, and emails promptlyTroubleshoot hardware, software, and network issuesProvide basic end-user support and training when neededMaintain internal knowledge base documentationCollaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issuesCommunicate clearly with stakeholders on status and resolutionCollaboration and CommunicationWork closely with IT teams to address cross-functional technical challenges and improve overall service quality.Communicate clearly and professionally with users and leadership, keeping stakeholders informed on issue resolution and project updates.Qualifications - What You Bring5–7 years of experience in network engineering, telecom, or ISP environmentsStrong hands-on experience with routing, switching, and troubleshootingRequired: Real-world experience with ISP or carrier-grade microwave radio systems (installation, alignment,troubleshooting, and maintenance)Experience with Cambium, Ubiquiti airFiber, Siklu, or similar platforms preferredComfortable working both in the field and in technical troubleshooting environmentsAbility to take ownership and drive issues to resolutionPhysical Reality of the JobAbility to lift up to 75 lbsComfortable working at heights and on laddersWillingness to perform hands-on installation workWill drive own or company vehiclesOther Must-HavesReliable transportation and willingness to travel to sitesVoIP experience is a plusEducationBachelors degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.Why You'll Succeed in This RoleIIf you enjoy solving real problems, working on real infrastructure, and seeing the direct impact of your work, this role fits.
