Develops philosophy, goals, and objectives that are consistent with school and districtvision/mission.B. Prepares unit and lesson plan which reflect career exploration activities, safety, employabilityskills instruction, and leadership development activities.C. Appoints an advisory committee consisting of representatives from current and/or formerstudents, business and industry, and the community to assist in planning, implementing, andevaluating, programs and maintains records of meetings.D. Supervises extended field experience methods of instruction, where applicable, and maintainson file an education plan which relates to the student's instructional program.E. Establishes an evaluation and recordkeeping system to identify the competencies attained ineach student's occupational plan, where applicable.F. Incorporates current technology into the curriculum.G. Implements safety procedures and practices by maintaining equipment in good repair with safetydevices; establishing safety procedures, marking safety lanes, where appropriate, and maintainingfacility in good condition.H. Prepares individual students for gainful employment or for enrollment in advanced technicaleducation programs and/or college.I. Attends district, regional, or state professional meetings; remains abreast of current researchpractice in the field.J Sponsors CTE student organizations related to the CTE instructional program.K. Evaluates the CTE education program continually in accordance with requirements andinstruments developed or approved by the KDE to determine the effectiveness of the program interms of objectives.L. Follows HCPS plan and procedures to serve disadvantaged and handicapped studentsscheduled into the CTE program.M. Performs such other professional tasks (within reason) as may be assigned by the principal orSuperintendent.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year to be established by the superintendent and the Board.
