overview—what you do The Senior Accounting Manager’s primary responsibility is to efficiently and effectively support and execute day-to-day accounting operations in a way that meets or exceeds agency and client expectations. This role serves as a key contributor within the Finance/Accounting team and partners closely with the Finance Operations Director to ensure accurate financial reporting, timely close processes, and well-maintained accounting operations.This position requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who is independent, efficient, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, project-based agency environment. responsibilities—the stuff we trust you with Independently supports day-to-day accounting operations in alignment with Circa’s mission and core valuesSupports the monthly close process in QuickBooks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliationsManages Accounts Payable by analyzing, coding, securing approvals for, and entering vendor and freelancer invoices in the accounting system and project management softwareProcesses and reviews corporate credit card activity, allocating expenses accurately to projects and departments and securing clarification as neededSupports and backs up the Finance Operations Director with client invoicing in QuickBooksAssists in tracking and managing Circa renewals, including subscriptions, website hosting, and domain registrationsMaintains organized and accurate physical accounting files within the officeGains working knowledge of Circa’s project management platform (Workfront)Monitors weekly Workfront time sheet submissions for staff and freelancers, sends reminders, follows up on outstanding submissions, and generates late time sheet reportsAssists with portions of month end and yearend close as assignedMaintains compliance and supports accuracy and efficiency in financial reportingParticipates in special projects or analysis as identified by Finance leadershipKeeps current on accounting best practices, tools, and industry trendsAll other duties as assigned values—the just as important stuff purposeWe do what we love, and we love what we do.
