Liaison Officer (Internal/External)

Position SummaryCambrian College’s Student Success and Recruitment department requires a Full Time Liaison Officer. This position requires traveling/driving throughout Ontario (vehicle provided) with overnight stays (Monday – Friday with some weekends). When not traveling, the role is required to be on-campus in Sudbury, OntarioNote: Internal candidates, as defined by the Full-Time Support Staff Collective Agreement, will be given first consideration.Duties and ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Manager, Student Recruitment, the incumbent is responsible for:Developing, coordinating and administering an active student recruitment program Developing and maintaining relationships with various audiences (including potential applicants, students, parents, guidance counselors, teachers, other educational administrators, businesses, community organizations, government agencies, and college administration, staff and faculty, among others).Researching and analyzing applicant and registrant statistics, college enrolment and conversion patterns, labor market trends, and other pertinent factors and positively influence various groups of potential students as well as other relevant audiences.Provide an active recruitment program through a wide range of communication and information activities. These may include Individual School Visits and Special Recruiting presentations to secondary schools, other educational institutions, and adult education centres/agencies, CIP (College Information Program), advising meetings, group and individual tours, webinar presentations, trade shows, educational and career fairs, parents/ information nights, Regional Dialogues, and Career-focused Presentations. Prepare and execute an annual recruitment action plan for individual school visits (ISV), CIP and/or Special Recruiting.Compile, record, and maintain statistical data and prospective student contact information for all activities and all job-related duties.Liaise with the Manager, Student Recruitment and Liaison Officer team to obtain statistical data and information that supports the College’s overall enrolment targets, market analyses and strategic plan to plan and execute recruitment initiatives.Actively conduct surveys with guidance counsellors, teachers, secondary schools, elementary school, other education institutes, colleges, other postsecondary institutes.Assist with the planning, organization, and delivery of on-campus activities and events which may include but are not limited to: Webinars, Information Nights, Open Houses, Campus Tours, Orientation, Move-in Weekend Educators’ Forum, and partner agency (i.e. Skills Ontario) events and other events/activities organized by the Student Success and Recruitment Department.Maintain communication and support recruitment department via platforms used by the teamQualificationsRequired:Three-year postsecondary diploma or degree. (A copy of educational documents must be submitted with application *** education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application)Three years of practical experience dealing with the public and youth aged 16 – 25 years old.
