Backed by leading investors and a highly technical leadership team, the company is scaling rapidly and is now looking for an Autonomy Software Engineer to play a key role in the development of cutting-edge autonomous systems.ResponsibilitiesDevelop autonomous navigation and docking capabilities for real-world environmentsDesign and implement perception, localization, planning, and controls systemsIntegrate, test, and evaluate sensor systems across varying operational conditionsCollaborate cross-functionally with software and hardware engineering teamsSupport the growth and mentorship of the autonomy engineering functionRequirementsDegree in Software Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related fieldCommercial experience developing autonomy systems in real-world applicationsStrong understanding of autonomy stacks, including perception, localization, planning, and controlsExperience with optimal control methods such as iLQR or MPPIStrong programming skills in C++ and PythonComfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on engineering environmentDesirable ExperienceExperience with ROS2Background in robotics, aerospace, marine, or autonomous vehicle systemsUnderstanding of vehicle dynamics and/or fluid dynamicsPackage$175,000–$200,000 base salaryMedical, dental, and vision coverage401(k)Generous PTOPlease note: Due to the nature of government and defence-related projects, applicants must be US citizens and eligible to work on sensitive programme
