Desktop Support Technician (Tier 1 / Tier 2)Salt Lake City, UT (Onsite)Contract-to-HireOverview:Our client is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician (Tier 1 / Tier 2) to join their team in Salt Lake City. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with strong potential for long-term growth. The ideal candidate will have a mix of hands-on technical skills and strong communication abilities to support end users in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issuesTroubleshoot and resolve issues with desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devicesSupport Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, and common business applicationsHandle ticketing system queues, ensuring timely resolution and documentation of issuesSet up and configure new user workstations, including imaging and deploymentManage user accounts, permissions, and access in Active DirectoryAssist with onboarding and offboarding of employeesEscalate complex issues to Tier 3 or engineering teams as neededMaintain accurate documentation of processes and solutionsQualifications:1–3+ years of experience in desktop support or help desk rolesStrong troubleshooting skills across Windows environmentsExperience with Active Directory, Office 365, and ticketing systemsBasic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)Excellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work onsite in Salt Lake City, UTNice to Have:Experience with imaging tools (SCCM, Intune, or similar)Knowledge of hardware repair and replacementCertifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similarWhy Join Us?Contract-to-perm opportunity with career growthHands-on technical environmentCollaborative and supportive teamOpportunity to expand into more advanced IT roles
