This role ensures that all maintenance operations support safe, efficient, and reliable facility performance.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDirects teams performing major painting projects, structural repairs (masonry, woodwork, furnishings), and maintenance of building utility systems including electrical wiring, controls, heating, and ventilation.Supervises workers installing, servicing, and repairing mechanical equipment.Oversees employees responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing plant equipment, buildings, and facilities.Inspects completed work to ensure compliance with blueprints, specifications, and quality standards.Prepares work schedules and assigns tasks to maintenance personnel.Establishes and maintains preventive maintenance programs and procedures.Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies as needed to support maintenance operations.Works on construction projects involving new buildings/facilities and modifications to existing structures.Interprets and enforces company policies and practices.Analyzes and resolves work-related problems, assisting employees in troubleshooting issues.Administers training programs to ensure proper operation, preventive maintenance, and repair procedures.Communicates effectively via email, including reading, responding, and providing follow-up details and next steps.May supervise grounds maintenance activities such as lawn care, hedge trimming, weed removal, leaf disposal, and snow removal.May oversee custodial services as needed.Knowledge & Skills RequirementsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of directly related experience.Experience in a poultry processing environment is required.Must be able to work flexible hours and shifts as needed.The Company is dedicated to ensuring a safe and secure environment for our team members and visitors.
