Dining Service Associate-Cook (6:00am-2:30pm, M-F)The Dining Associate performs tasks in multiple areas/functions within the Dining Center. As a Dining Associate you will: Set up and close stations. Read recipes, prepare ingredients, and execute recipes. Re-stock stations. Assist with inventory. Assist with cleaning and dish machine operation. Assist with the monitoring of cost and waste control. Ensure that food presentation and monitoring food quality (temperature, taste, and appearance) meet dining standards. Assist with training of student staff. Provide excellent customer service. Ability to read, write, weigh and measure necessary. Flexibility, ability to communicate and being a team player essential. Must have the ability to train and lead others. Food Handler's permit or ability to obtain by passing the Safety and Sanitation test required. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and push/pull up to 100lbs.
