Firmware Engineer

LOCATION: Novato, California (Marin County) North of San Francisco POSITION SUMMARY: Apparent Inc. is looking for a Firmware Engineer that is interested in working for a cutting-edge renewable energy company. In this role you will work with a dedicated team developing solutions in the solar power and energy storage domains. This position will be responsible for design, development, debugging, and testing of firmware for new products with some maintenance of existing products. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Embedded firmware design, development, debugging, and maintenance Firmware that controls power conversion electronics Develop and debug low-level, real-time, and low-latency firmware in C Work on board bring-up, debugging, testing, and code optimization Work as part of cross-functional teams (hardware, mechanical, software) Create technical documentation Write software design documents REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: BS in EE/CS/CE CS only geeks need not apply 5+ years working in an embedded firmware development role Embedded systems Bare metal firmware design and development Writing firmware in C and assembly Compilers, debuggers, IDE's Oscilloscopes and logic analyzers Scripting languages (e.g. Python) TO APPLY: Please email your resume with a letter of interest to jobs@apparent.com.
