This position offers hands-on experience with advanced cellular and molecular biology techniques in a collaborative research environment. Duties include:Perform tissue culture to maintain mammalian primary cells, established cell lines, and induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) linesConduct DNA, RNA, and protein extractions and related assays, including qPCR and Western blottingUtilize flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry, and microscopy techniquesAssist with data analysis and interpretationMaintain accurate digital laboratory recordsPrepare figures and data for presentations and publicationsProvide general technical and laboratory support as neededNote: This position is scheduled to start in September 2026.Salary Range: $28.69/hour - $34.21/hourJob QualificationsPress space or enter keys to toggle section visibility* Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on laboratory experience (e.g. experience with cellular and molecular biology techniques such as tissue culture, DNA/RNA/protein extraction, PCR, and Western blotting)* Ability to work alternative shifts based on operational needsAs a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.Current/former UC employees are subject to a personnel file review.
