Role Overview The Assistant Center Director is a key operational leader who supports the Center Director in running a high-performing dojo. This role blends front-line execution, team leadership, sales support, and customer experience excellence. The Assistant Center Director helps ensure the dojo runs smoothly day-to-day while developing the skills needed to grow into a future Center Director. Key Responsibilities Operations & ExecutionSupport and help oversee daily dojo operationsStep into leadership as needed in the absence of the Center DirectorEnsure a clean, organized, safe, and high-energy environmentMaintain awareness of floor activity and student experience at all timesAdapt quickly to real-time needs and support smooth operations Sales, Tours & Parent ExperienceFollow up on leads, schedule tours, and support enrollment conversionsDeliver engaging and informative tours for prospective familiesBuild strong relationships with parents and ensure a high level of communicationHelp parents understand their child's progress and experienceContribute to retention through exceptional service and engagement Team Support & DevelopmentSupport scheduling and daily coordination of SenseisAssist in training, coaching, and mentoring team membersLead by example on the floor through energy, engagement, and professionalismHelp ensure proper staffing levels and team readiness Student Experience & Instructional SupportEngage directly with students to ensure a fun and productive learning experienceSupport curriculum delivery and help troubleshoot student challengesReinforce a culture of encouragement, creativity, and problem-solving Community Engagement & Local OutreachSupport the Center Director in local community engagement effortsParticipate in:School outreach and partnershipsCommunity events, demos, and promotionsIn-center events and parent engagement activitiesHelp ensure the dojo is a welcoming and visible part of the local community Reporting & AccountabilityAssist with tracking key metrics and reportingProvide updates to Center Director on operations, team performance, and customer experienceHelp identify opportunities for improvement and growth Qualifications RequiredExperience working with children (ages 5+) and passion for youth developmentStrong communication, organization, and interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environmentBasic understanding of sales, customer service, or operationsFlexible schedule including evenings and weekendsStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsPositive attitude and team-first mindset PreferredExperience in education, camps, retail, or service-based environmentsSales, marketing, or customer engagement experienceInterest in technology, gaming, or STEM educationFamiliarity with programming (JavaScript, Python, C#, etc.) is a plus (training provided)Associate's degree or equivalent work experience Why This Role Matters The Assistant Center Director is essential to delivering a consistent, high-quality dojo experience while supporting growth, team development, and parent satisfaction.
