Senior Tax Manager or Tax Director | $155k - $185k+Hollywood, FL | Hybrid to start, long term remote is an optionCPA License is required. This isn’t just a Senior Tax Manager or Director role. It’s a genuine path to Partner, already mapped out.Let’s get straight to it.A well established CPA firm, under 20 people, is building for what comes next. One of the Partners is retiring over the next 4 years. The plan is not vague. It’s not “maybe one day”. It’s structured, supported, and very real. You would be stepping in with the clear intention of becoming Partner in less than 4 years. Why this is differentMost firms talk about progression. This one is actively planning succession. You will work directly with both current Partners, including one who is retiring and will personally guide you through taking over her client base. There’s also something bigger in the background. A close relationship with a New York firm, around 100 people, with strong Audit presence and offshore support. The two firms are aligned, collaborating, and likely moving closer together over time. You will have exposure on both sides as that evolves. So you are not just inheriting a book. You are stepping into a firm in growth mode across Florida and NYC.The roleThis is hands on. You will still be in the detail.Prep, review, and sign off across a wide range of tax work. Working closely with clients. Being the person they trust. Building relationships that last.At the same time, you will help shape how the firm grows. Systems, efficiency, new ideas, better ways of working. The current Partners are big on this. If something can be improved, they want to hear about it.AI, automation, smarter processes. This firm is leaning into where the profession is going, not hiding from it.What they are looking forA strong tax professional with real technical ability. Someone who is happy to roll their sleeves up and get into the work, not just delegate it.Being confident with clients matters. You need to be someone clients respect and want to work with.A mix of patience internally and urgency externally. The team matters, but so do the clients.Experience in Tax Strategy is key. But most importantly, someone who actually wants to build something long term. This is not a short stop. The futureOver the next 4 years you will:Absorb a retiring Partner’s clientsBe mentored directly into a Partner roleHelp shape the direction of the firmPlay a part in expansion across South Florida and links into NYCAnd then step into Partner. Not in theory. In reality.Working styleHybrid to start, with lots of flexibility.Long term, fully remote is on the table once you are embedded. This is an adult environment. No micromanagement. No pointless rules. The money$155k to $185k depending on experience, potentially more if you are the perfect fit.The real upside is what comes next. Partnership brings a completely different financial picture. If you are at that stage where you know you can do more, but your current firm has nowhere for you to go, this is the kind of move that changes things.
