Job DetailsDescriptionSalary: $20/hourAge Requirement: 18+The Parking Attendant plays a key role in creating a smooth and welcoming arrival experience for river float guests and the general public visiting the Old Mill District. This position is responsible for managing traffic flow, monitoring parking capacity, collecting parking fees, and providing helpful information to guests. The ideal candidate is friendly, attentive, and able to stay organized in a fast-paced outdoor environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect incoming and outgoing traffic to ensure safe and efficient flow throughout the parking area Monitor lot capacity and communicate when parking areas reach capacity Collect parking fees and handle basic transactions accurately Provide guests with information about river floating access, rules, and directions Deliver excellent customer service and represent the organization in a positive, professional manner Maintain awareness of safety conditions and report any issues as needed to OMD Security Staff Assist with general parking operations and guest needs as they arise QualificationsStrong communication and customer service skills Ability to stay calm and professional in busy or high-traffic situations Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions Basic math and money-handling skills Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Work EnvironmentThis is a fully outdoor, summer position supporting guests of Old Mill District.Employees should be prepared to work in a wide range of weather conditions, including high heat, cooler temperatures, wind, and rain. Role requires standing for extended periods and staying active throughout the shift. High guest interaction in a fast-paced, seasonal environment, especially during peak floating hours.
