High School Engineering and Robotics Teacher

Abraham Joshua Heschel School is seeking a full-time educator to join our high school division as a Computer Science, Engineering and Robotics teacher and member of our STEM team for the 2026-27 school year.This position offers an exciting leadership opportunity to shape and expand our engineering, coding, and robotics curriculum for students in 9th through 12th grades in a student-centered, project-based learning environment, including a Maker Space.The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students build strong skills in computational thinking, diverse programming languages, and design technology within a learning environment that emphasizes critical thinking, independence, and creativity. Beyond the classroom, they will play a key role in planning and expanding our offerings to create a well-rounded and robust sequence of computer science and engineering courses to inspire students who are eager to explore technology and coding at all levels.Candidates with experience teaching engineering, robotics, or supervising a maker space are strongly preferred.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Masters or PhD preferred.Masters degree in Education preferredAbraham Joshua Heschel School, located in New York City, is an independent, pluralistic Jewish Day School, N-12, unaffiliated with any single movement or synagogue.
