RF Design Engineer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support iBwave design efforts for In-Building wireless systems for region and/or assigned customer programs
Collaborate with customer technical subject-matter experts, carriers and sub-contractors, solution engineers and deployment engineers to recommend system designs for in-Building wireless projects
Conduct site surveys to identify design parameters and key performance indicator (KPI) criteria that influence system designs.
Assess and determine capacity, coverage, and equipment requirements for project designs.
Plan, develop, and price system designs in compliance with established design standards to ensure quality and meet customer requirements.
Use RF tools to perform radio propagation modeling, prediction, and tuning, as well as system integration.
Create 3-dimensional models using design software (e.g. iBwave) and analyze data to finalize designs and provide recommendations.
Review design deliverables, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
Partner with Field Engineers to update designs based on changes made during system implementation and testing.
Support project managers throughout implementation by providing RF engineering deliverables, including creating Bills of Materials (BOM), participating in weekly project calls (internal or customer-facing), collecting data, and preparing final project completion reports.
Act as a resource for other designers, providing guidance and support.
Maintain records and databases of project details, including hours worked and project status.
Collaborate with engineering management to define, clarify, and standardize design engineering practices.
Travel/Shift Requirements:

Physical Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors on ladders, and in confined spaces
Ability to work with/around electrical wires and/or ESD products
Ability to work remotely at construction or installation sites
Managerial Responsibility
No direct reports.

Ability to work independently, while effectively collaborating within a team to solve operational challenges and support Telamon’s objectives.
Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences clearly and effectively.
Proficiency in using standard office software applications.
Education and Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Communications, Engineering or related field
Focus on RF and cellular communications preferred
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in design engineering
Understanding of RF design concepts, practices, and procedures
Working knowledge of performance software and test equipment (e.g. TEMS, JDSU, DataPro, or similar)
iBwave certification, Level 1 or greater, plus relevant experience.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
Skilled at understanding and addressing customer requirements to deliver tailored, high-quality designs.
Strong focus on accuracy and quality in RF designs, documentation, and deliverables.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $72,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
