As a Diffusion Process Engineer, you will collaborate with global teams and top customers to advance breakthrough process solutions and be a key technical resource in high-impact technology development.Responsibilities: Develop, optimize, and integrate advanced laser annealing and ion implantation processes for semiconductor technologies. Design and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) to evaluate process performance and enhance device characteristics. Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data, preparing technical reports and actionable recommendations. Conduct process characterization and hardware evaluations on laser annealing and ion implantation systems. Troubleshoot complex process and equipment issues, driving root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Collaborate with customer process integration teams to improve device performance, process stability, and yield. Lead multiple technology development projects from concept through implementation, enabling innovative solutions. Serve as a primary technical interface for customers, delivering technical presentations and supporting customer evaluations. Represent the company at industry consortiums, technical conferences, and collaborative research programs. Monitor and recommend emerging semiconductor process technologies for new development opportunities.Must-Have Skills: Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, or a related technical field. Deep understanding of semiconductor device physics, including dopant activation, crystal modification, thermal processing, and material interactions with laser energy. Hands-on experience with laser annealing, rapid thermal processing (RTP), ion implantation, or related semiconductor process technologies. Semiconductor process integration and technology development expertise. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Experience in designing and executing DOE and interpreting process data. Excellent communication and presentation capabilities for effective collaboration with customers and engineering teams. Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with LT-3100 laser annealing platform or similar advanced laser processing equipment. Knowledge of optics, laser systems, or photolithography in semiconductor processing. Experience supporting memory, logic, or power semiconductor technologies. Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC), yield improvement methodologies, and semiconductor manufacturing environments. Programming or data analysis experience using tools such as JMP, Python, MATLAB, or similar software.
