This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on features and ideas that directly impact Amazon’s digital customers worldwide. As an SDE, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying scalable, fault-tolerant services that enhance customer experience across various digital platforms. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to create innovative products and services, addressing complex problems at a large scale. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about technological innovation, enjoy working in fast-paced environments, and want to make a tangible difference in the digital space.QualificationsTo be successful in this role, candidates should possess a minimum of 3+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong background in designing and architecting scalable systems. A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required. Proficiency in at least one programming language, along with experience in the full software development lifecycle—including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, testing, and deployment—is essential. Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of experience in full-cycle software development, familiarity with distributed systems, and a solid understanding of reliability and scaling principles. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and a passion for innovation.ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities for this role include collaborating with experienced cross-disciplinary teams to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market. You will be tasked with designing and building technologies within large distributed computing environments, helping to lead industry-changing innovations. Creating solutions that run predictions on distributed systems at incredible scale and speed will be a core part of your work. You will develop distributed storage, indexing, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, cost-effective, and easy to manage. Additionally, you will be expected to design and implement solutions starting from broadly defined problems, working within an agile environment to ensure high-quality software delivery.
