Process Documentation Analyst
Position Overview:
The Process Documentation Analyst is responsible for creating, maintaining, and ensuring the accuracy of Engineering Masters, Bills of Materials, operations, and manufacturing master data within the ERP system. This role translates upstream documentation and product specifications into complete manufacturing records that enable Production and Prototype to successfully execute customer orders. The role works closely with Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure that product configurations are accurate, manufacturing-ready, and aligned with engineering intent while maintaining data integrity throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and maintain Engineering Masters within the ERP system
Generate new part numbers in accordance with company standards
Build complete product structures using engineering documentation
Maintain engineering master data accuracy throughout product lifecycle
Ensure all required manufacturing information is complete prior to release
Validate BOM accuracy against engineering specifications
Process Engineering Chase Notice (ECNs) and implement revisions
Maintain revision control
Translate engineering requirements into RTP manufacturing data
Identify discrepancies and work with Engineering to resolve them prior to release
Coordinate with Planning to ensure Engineering Masters support production scheduling
Other Important Responsibilities:
Maintain ERP master data accuracy
Develop documentation and standard work instructions
Audit Engineering Masters and BOMs
Ensure compliance with company data standards
Support ERP improvements
Recommend process improvements and participate in Lean initiatives
Perform other tasks assigned
SkillsQualifications:
Associate's degree (bachelor's degree preferred)
2-4 years of experience in a technical writing or manufacturing support role
Experience creating Bills of Materials and routings
Experience working with ERP systems
Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with Workflow software is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn and self-review work
Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
