Rental Inventory Specialist - (Alexandria, LA)

The Rental Inventory Specialist will be responsible for managing customer service inquiries, overseeing inventory, maintaining sufficient stock levels and implementing process improvements. This role requires a strong problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications as well as Adobe. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment and is committed to improving efficiency and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:Rental Equipment Check InReceive, clean and check in rental equipment through our rental and calibration management programs.Customer Service:Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in-person with professionalism, empathy and a sense of urgency.Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, SOP’s and company policies to effectively assist customers.Inventory Management:Oversee inventory levels of assets and accessories, track stock movements, and ensure accurate records to support order fulfillment.Coordinate with suppliers, Corporate Purchasing Dept and Corporate Rental Operations Team to manage orders, monitor stock levels, and address any inventory needs or discrepancies.Conduct regular inventory audits and report on inventory status to management.Problem Solving & Process Improvement:Evaluate current processes and identify opportunities for improvements in customer service and inventory management.Report and record customer complaints to Manager Develop and implement solutions to prevent recurrence of problems and improve overall operations to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.Monitor the impact of process changes and adjust strategies as needed.Microsoft Office Applications:Utilize Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) to create reports, analyze data, and communicate findings.Maintain organized and accurate records using spreadsheets and other documentation tools.Self-Starter:Proactively identify areas for improvement and take initiative to address them.Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and achieve goals.Qualifications:Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.Experience: 2-4 years of experience in customer service, inventory management, or a related field.Skills:Strong problem-solving, multitasking and analytical abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate with different personalitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Previous customer service experience is highly preferred
