We believe in fostering growth not only in our research, to our customers, partners, team members and the environment, creating collaborative efforts that benefit everyone involved.General Purpose:The Warehouse Lead & Quality Control Associate is expected to be a self-starter with a strong sense of determination, taking a leadership role in this crucial part of our business. In this capacity, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations and seed treatment activities while ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures. Will assist the Operations & QC Manager in all seed conditioning. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, posses experience in seed production and demonstrate the ability to efficiently manage tasks and personnel.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Work closely with the Operations & QC Manager with the day-to-day seed processing and handling activities.Manage the processing of work orders to ensure accurate documentation and inventory tracking of all seed lotsManage the plant and packaging activities of all seed receiving, treating, packaging and distributionAssist with all seed conditioning activitiesManage all inventory audits and discardsManage the shipping of customer orders based on customers' individual order requirementsMaintain seed lot integrity throughout the storage, processing, treatment, and shipping operationsManage all treating and packaging processes ensuring seed lot integrityAssist with seed conditioningAssist with maintaining, utilizing, and developing seed testing protocolsAssist with collecting samples for any lab testing and quality assurance purposesAssist as needed with building, equipment and tool maintenanceAssist as needed with onsite upkeep of facility grounds and infrastructureAssist in the implementation and enforcement of workplace safety policies and best practicesAssist with ordering parts, tools, and operational suppliesManage the warehouse and treating teamsAssist in managing seasonal and part-time laborQualifications/Knowledge Needed: Previous experience in seed production or related field, a BS in Agriculture or Crop Science is beneficialProficiency in gathering, recording, and reporting dataAbility to obtain a fumigation and treatment licenseAbility to obtain a forklift licenseValid driver's license requiredAbility to obtain an ISTA seed certificationStrong work ethic focused on productivity, accuracy and timelinessStrong organizational and project management skillsAttention to detail and accuracy in task executionAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMust be proficient with Microsoft OfficeCapable of working outdoors in various weather conditionsAbility to lift and carry supplies and equipment as needed, generally up to 75 lbs.Ability to stand, walk and perform field-related tasks for extended periodsCapable of working long hours/weekends during critical seasonal periodsBenefits: Salary: This position has an annual salary range of $55 - $65K.
