Medical Specimen Collector

Full Time Medical Specimen Collector Location: Bolingbrook, IL and Westchester, IL Responsibilities: - Prepare and label specimens for laboratory testing - Follow established protocols and procedures for specimen collection and handling - Maintain accurate records of collected specimens and patient information - Adhere to safety and infection control policies and procedures - Ensure proper storage and transportation of specimens to the laboratory - Communicate with healthcare professionals and patients in a professional and compassionate manner Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience in a laboratory or healthcare setting is a plus - Knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures - Familiarity with aseptic technique and proper specimen handling - Understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong communication and interpersonal skills Please note that this position may require working in a hospital or research laboratory environment.
