Job Summary:The Import Manager is responsible for Customs compliance, growth of business, development and profitability of department in accordance with annual business plan and budgets.Essential Functions:Assumes accountability for:Customs compliance/statements and best operational practices Employee development goals, performance, productivity and moraleCustomer service levels, business development and growthMeeting/exceeding all corporate performance KPI'sAccurate billing practicesResponsible for profitability through:Budget monitoringCash flow analysis ( A/R,COTS,ACH,Open Job )Performance monitoring ( Radar reports )Market/customer analysisPreparation of quotations for new/existing business Responsible for all regulatory issues within the department such as classifications, port entry and problem resolution. Coordinated effort under direction of the Regional Compliance Manager.Provide sales support as necessary.Manages Partnership / Agent relationship developmentPerforms Bid/RFI/RFQ cost/benefit analysis & price authorization.Exemption TypeExempt (Salaried)Job RequirementsMinimum of 5 years industry experience, 2 in a managerial/supervisory position2 years of college and/or an additional 2 years of industry experienceKnowledge of Transportation industry, Import/Global transportation/Regulatory and business developmentStandard hours and additional time as necessaryA current CHB license is required and candidate is expected to be office QLH (Qualified License Holder)Must maintain professional attitude and appearance at all timesPlease note: There is no relocation or immigration assistance associated with this opening.
