People like you.Visit our careers page to see what exciting opportunities and company perks await!Job Description:We are seeking a proactive and creative Technical Training Engineer to help design and deliver impactful learning experiences for our customers and internal teams. This entry-level role is for an individual with up to three years of experience who is passionate about instructional design, technical education, and data-driven improvement.You will be responsible for coaching subject matter experts (SMEs) in the creation of course outlines for both online training modules and live instruction. You will guide SMEs in structuring content effectively based on adult learning principles, helping them translate complex technical concepts into engaging, learner-friendly formats.Alongside coaching, you will develop training content that fits the unique needs of each of our platforms, making sure it's engaging and impactful for the audience. You will also assist in publishing training materials by editing video and audio content supplied by SMEs, and manage course production by posting and organizing files on our learning management system (LMS). Your work will directly support customer success, product adoption, and internal enablement.Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, instructional design, or equivalent0-3 years of experience in engineering technical training, instructional design, or curriculum developmentStrong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologiesExperience creating course outlines, lesson plans, or training materials for technical audiencesAbility to storyboard or script video content for training or product educationFamiliarity with online learning platforms and virtual training tools (e.g., Skilljar, LMS systems)Ability to design content for both asynchronous e-learning and live instructor-led sessionsExperience using Google Analytics or similar tools to evaluate learner engagement and identify training gapsStrong communication and collaboration skills for working with subject matter experts and stakeholdersComfortable presenting technical content in a clear, engaging mannerExperience with markup languages (HTML, XML)Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies for working in iterative development environmentsEagerness to learn new technologies and continuously improve training effectivenessTravel Time:No TravelPhysical Attributes:Feeling, Seeing, Talking, Works Alone, Works Around OthersPhysical Requirements:80% sitting, 10% walking, 10% standingMicrochip Technology Inc is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
