Machine Operator

*Job Overview* We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented experienced Machine Operator to join our dynamic team at our Mellott, IN location. We are seeking an individual to operate a manual lathe machine and a manual mill. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of machinery, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of machine operation, quality control, and safety protocols within a factory setting. Hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with the potential for overtime. *Responsibilities* * Operate and monitor machines to produce high-quality components. * Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments such as micrometers to ensure precise measurements. * Interpret technical drawings and specifications. * Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance. * Troubleshoot equipment issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain production flow. * Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while adhering to safety guidelines. * Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations. * Ability to stand, bend and lift significant weight for significant portions of the day. * Read gauges such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauge, and tape measure. *Skills* * Proficiency in operating machinery. * Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings. * Strong understanding of GD&T principles for quality assurance. * Experience using hand tools and measuring devices like micrometers. * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. * Ability to read micrometers, calipers, and tape measures (will be tested).
