Biologist - Entomology Focused
Job Summary Our client a leading Healthcare & Life Sciences provider is seeking a Biologist - Entomology Focused to join their team! This position is located in Chesterfield, Missouri.Core ResponsibilitiesConduct insect bioassays using artificial diets to evaluate insecticidal compounds in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards (40 CFR Part 160)Receive, maintain, and track insect colonies and laboratory supplies using electronic inventory systemsGrow and maintain agricultural crops in controlled environments such as growth chambers or greenhousesPerform quality control checks on scientific data and reports to ensure accuracy and complianceMaintain laboratory cleanliness and ensure proper upkeep of equipmentAssist with general laboratory tasks and provide weekend support as needed Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)Bachelor's degree in biology, entomology, or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent hands-on laboratory experienceStrong understanding of entomology or a related biological fieldProficiency in standard laboratory techniques, including pipetting and solution preparation Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) Experience with insect bioassaysFamiliarity with electronic data capture and laboratory documentation systemsKnowledge of quality management systems such as GLP, ISO, or similar frameworks Key Competencies & Behaviors Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skillsHigh attention to detail and strong scientific writing ability Work Environment Location: Chesterfield, MissouriOnsite Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $25.00 and $35.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
