We’re looking for a skilled Controller to lead our financial operations, strengthen our internal controls, and support strategic decision‑making as we scale. This position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will be expected to be in office Monday – Friday.

Position Overview
The Controller will oversee all financial activities of the company, including job costing, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting. This role requires deep knowledge of construction accounting, strong leadership, and the ability to partner closely with project managers and executives.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, general ledger, and month‑end close
Manage job costing, WIP schedules, and project profitability analysis
Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models
Ensure compliance with GAAP and construction‑specific accounting standards
Implement and monitor internal controls, policies, and procedures
Prepare timely financial statements and executive reports
Manage cash flow and banking relationships
Support project managers with cost tracking, variance analysis, and financial insights
Lead annual audits and coordinate with external CPA firms
Oversee accounting software systems (e.g., Sage 300, Procore, Miter)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5–10+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in construction
Strong understanding of job costing, WIP reporting, and percentage‑of‑completion accounting
Proficiency with construction accounting software
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to lead a team and collaborate across departments
Detail‑oriented with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset
