Schedule: Flexible (8-hour shifts; part-time or full-time availability considered)
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: $22/hour
Start Date: ASAP

Being an intern or student at Cascades is a unique opportunity to define your interests and discover your passion as our new Safety Intern:
Support the Safety Team in maintaining and improving site-wide health and safety programs
Assist with administrative tasks, including the evaluation and optimization of safety management systems
Gather and analyze feedback from employees regarding potential safety improvements and identified risks
Perform regular floor inspections to assess safety compliance and identify hazards
Collaborate on the development and enhancement of safety procedures and policies
Support incident investigations by documenting findings and recommendations
Participate in risk assessment activities to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
Attend and contribute to safety meetings to promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement
Perform additional safety-related duties as assigned based on team needs and leadership direction

Currently enrolled in a Safety program or related field
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain safety concepts clearly
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify risks and propose solutions
