Nuclear Licensing Engineer II

The Nuclear Licensing Engineer II is responsible for applying engineering and nuclear regulatory knowledge and experience in support of developing power plant systems and programs in accordance with US licensing requirements. This requires a demonstrated understanding of 10 CFR Parts 50 and 52, along with associated regulatory and industry guidance. The Nuclear Licensing Engineer will be part of the SMR‑300 Nuclear Licensing group, which is responsible for understanding, interpreting and informing our design basis as needed to comply with US and international nuclear regulations. The Nuclear Licensing Engineer will work preparing licensing documentation, such as topical and technical reports, Safety Analysis Reports, and applications for certifications, permits, and licenses. The Nuclear Licensing Engineer will work closely with Systems, Controls, and Operations engineers. This role provides a unique opportunity in an exciting emerging technology and energy marketplace.Location: Camden, NJ; North Pittsburgh, PA.Primary Responsibilities:Support development of engineering and licensing requirements and documentation for nuclear systems and components in an interactive manner with other engineering functional areas.Prepare, review, maintain, and defend licensing documentation supporting the SMR-300 design.Prepare and defend position papers for areas where the existing regulatory framework does not apply, or where there is a need for new or revised regulatory requirements or guidance.Prepare and deliver licensing presentations to internal and external organizations.Support project management for activities including development of licensing submissions.Eligible to work under 10 CFR Part 810 without specific authorization.Requirements:BS in Engineering from an accredited college or university.Demonstrated technical writing skills and effective communication skills.Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.4-8 years experience in the nuclear field.
