Software Engineering Intern, Product Engineering

Nepternship is connecting qualified students with a potential software engineering internship opportunity at a major tech company in San Francisco. A role would offer hands on exposure to product engineering, system design, and large scale infrastructure across active consumer and enterprise products. Interns could work directly alongside engineers, technical leads, and engineering managers and gain real world experience in software engineering that goes well beyond the classroom. Responsibilities: Conduct in depth technical research, system analysis, and competitive benchmarking to support active product engineering roadmaps Draft technical design docs, RFCs, and engineering memos for review by senior engineers and technical leads Assist with feature implementation, code review, and performance optimization across live product surfaces Prepare materials for design reviews, sprint planning, and launch readiness milestones Collaborate with product, design, and cross functional teams on roadmap planning and release strategy Qualifications: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical major Strong programming skills (Python, Java, Go, or similar) Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and system design fundamentals Experience with version control (Git) and code review workflows Analytical mindset Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Relocation assistance Retirement plan Tuition reimbursement Work Location: In person
