Your work will directly impact the comfort, safety, and satisfaction of our residents while contributing to our long-standing reputation for exceptional service.What It's Like to Be a Maintenance Technician at OakbrookAs a part-time Maintenance Technician, you'll support the day-to-day operations of the community by completing routine maintenance and responding to service requests. You can expect to split your time between preventative maintenance, unit turnovers, and addressing resident maintenance needs, all while working collaboratively with the property team.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, boilers, chillers, and pool control systemsComplete work orders efficiently and assist with apartment turnovers and vacant unit readinessCoordinate with vendors and contractors for estimates and approved repair workConduct regular inspections, including safety checks, preventative maintenance, and monthly/quarterly inspectionsAssist with grounds maintenance, common areas, trash and recyclingSupport adherence to operating budgets related to repairs, maintenance, and capital projectsReport accidents, emergencies, or safety concerns to your supervisor immediatelyProvide support at additional nearby properties as neededParticipate in the on-call rotation as scheduledDemonstrate and uphold Oakbrook's core valuesPerform other duties as assignedAre You the Maintenance Technician We're Looking For?The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as a team.
