At Astound, we believe in creating astounding possibilities for everyone, everywhere.A Day in the Life of the Warehouse Technician I:General warehouse and distribution supportPrepare and complete orders for pickup or shippingReceive and process CPE/warehouse stock and other miscellaneous deliveries; cleaning and prepare equipmentPerform warehouse inventory controlsWarehouse reportsTesting/staging equipmentRetail equipmentAdhere to and follow safety protocolsOther duties as assignedWhat You Bring to the Table:Education: High school diploma or equivalentExperience: 0 yearsMaintain satisfactory driving record and have a valid driver's licensefork lift operationhand truck operationorganizational skillsAbility to adhere to local, federal regulations and company policiesAbility to implement simple record keeping proceduresAbility to drive company vehicle in a safe and responsible mannerAbility to accurately measure distances, using tapes or other measuring devicesAbility to work independentlyAbility to demonstrate courtesy and patience in customer relationsKnowledge of cable television products and serviceAbility to comply with all company implemented safety proceduresKnowledge of and ability to use the following office equipment: computer, telephone, copier, fax, calculator, and staplerKnowledge of basic mathematics and electronicsAbility to use the following hand tools: electric drills, hammers, wrenches, screwdriversAbility to work with small components and wires to make cable connectionsPhysical Requirements:Ability to bend and lift materials up to 75 lbs from floor level to a height of 6 feet to place them on shelves or on and off vehiclesWork performed in both climate‑controlled and non‑climate‑controlled environments, with potential exposure to heat, cold, dust, damp conditions, uneven surfaces, heights, and moving vehiclesProlonged standing (50-70% of the time), walking, sitting, and driving requiredAbility to safely climb and work from ladders for extended periods of timeFrequent reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs and ladders, and using hands above and below shoulder levelAbility to bend, twist, kneel, squat, crawl, and maintain various body positions and perform fine motor tasks, forceful gripping (Ability to work with small components and wires to make cable connections), and limited keyboardingVision ability: close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus and Ability to differentiate between sizes and colors of wiresWe're Proud to Offer a Comprehensive Benefits Package Including:401k retirement plan, with employer matchInsurance options including: medical, dental, vision, life and STD insurancePaid Time Off/Vacation: Starting at 80 hours per year, and increases based on tenure with the organizationFloating Holiday: 40 hours per yearPaid Holidays: 7 days per yearPaid Sick Leave: Astound allows a number of paid sick hours per calendar year and varies based on state and/or local lawsTuition reimbursement programEmployee discount program*Benefits listed above are for regular full-time positionBase Salary: The base pay range in Massachusetts for this position is $21.50-23.50 per hour, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
