Water/Wastewater Hydraulic Modeling Project Engineer (PE)

Impact Recruitment has partnered with a well-established multi-disciplinary civil engineering firm in Cary, NC . They are looking for a Professional Engineer to join their team as a Project Engineer within their Utilities (Water/Wastewater) practice area. This is a Hybrid position .In this role, you will be responsible for developing, calibrating, and analyzing hydraulic models for water distribution and wastewater collection systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions that improve system performance and resilience. Ideal candidates have strong technical expertise in hydraulic modeling software, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain hydraulic models for various water and sewer systemsAnalyze model results and provide data-driven recommendationsSupport project teams with system assessments and design solutionsPrepare technical reports and presentations for clientsOur Client offers:our amazing people and team-first atmosphere,our focus on the professional development and growth of our staff, andour commitment to the communities in which we work and live.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical engineering or related field4+ years of related experience in the field of specialtyLicensed Professional Engineer (or ability to obtain license within 12 months of hiring)Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software, including WaterGEMS, WaterCAD, SewerGEMS, SewerCAD, and PCSWMMExperience with ArcGIS and AutoCAD Civil 3DStrong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysisExcellent communication and problem-solving abilitiesHandle multiple tasks under pressure and prioritize responsibilitiesHighly self-motivated, able to anticipate and initiate subsequent project tasks, working independently or with minimal instructionAbility and willingness to mentor and lead technical staffExperience in planning, scheduling, and tracking milestones, tasks, budget, and activitiesExperience with common statistical programming languages such as R or Python (preferred but not required)Experience with wastewater process modeling software like BioWin (preferred but not required)If you are a qualified individual and interested in applying for this position, apply via our website www.impactrecruitment.com, email us at info@impactrecruitment.com or call us at (805)-371-2666 for more information.Impact Recruitment is an equal opportunity employer.
