Prep Cook - Full Time

Creative Dining Services is looking for a Full Time Prep Cook at our soon-to-be open location at Denso in Southfield, MI. This location is scheduled to open at the beginning of October, 2024. The rate of pay for this position is $18.00/hr. Standard Operating Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m (hours are approximate). No weekends!! The Prep Cook works within the Dining Services Department to ensure that high quality, properly seasoned, nutritious food is being provided throughout the operation, in a safe manner. Works cooperatively as a valued member of the dining services team, assisting with any aspect of the dining services program necessary. Core Responsibilities: Prepare food such that all food is ready for use within the established timeframe. Prepares food items according to established recipes and menus in a manner in which preserves food freshness, quality and appeal. Utilizes safe food handling techniques at all times. Maintains established logs (food temperatures, cooling temperatures, cooler & freezer temperatures, etc.). Maintains a clean and sanitized work area. Supports other kitchen employees in assuring that the essential functions of the kitchen are performed adequately and appropriately. Assists in ordering and inventory procedures. Removes refuse as needed. Puts away/Pulls stock as needed.
