Job Description Pediatric Hospitalist – Main Campus and Community LocationsOur organization is actively seeking pediatric hospitalists who are passionate about pursuing careers in either academic or community hospital medicine. As we expand our clinical programs and enhance our academic initiatives, we invite dedicated professionals to join our Division of Hospital Medicine, which comprises over 70 faculty members across three locations.Current OpportunitiesWe are currently focused on filling hospitalist roles at our main campus and community sites, including:Main Campus: A standalone children's hospital featuring a level 1 trauma center and extensive subspecialty care.Arrowhead: A new freestanding children's hospital set to open in Summer 2024, featuring a 32-bed unit, a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and a Pediatric Emergency Department.East Valley: A women and children's center scheduled to open in 2026, with a 24-bed unit, a PICU, and a Pediatric Emergency Department.Available positions include both standard and nocturnist roles, with a shift differential for nocturnists.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver diagnostic and therapeutic services, including urgent and emergent care as needed.Strive for optimal patient and family-centered care.Support the hospital's patient satisfaction objectives and the division's specific targets.Adhere to divisional standards for patient safety and quality of care.Practice contemporary evidence-based medicine.Divisional ResponsibilitiesWork towards achieving annual goals and objectives for the physician, division, and hospital.Contribute to medical education programs, including:Supervising trainees and allied health professionals in inpatient and outpatient settings.Conducting teaching rounds, lectures, and conferences.Participating in postgraduate continuing education activities.Support the division's research initiatives and programmatic growth.Assist with satellite efforts of the division when appropriate.ProfessionalismTreat colleagues, staff, and patients with respect and dignity.Foster a safe, collaborative, and professional healthcare environment.Uphold the organization's mission, vision, and values, emphasizing family-centered care and clinical excellence.Additional ActivitiesAssist the Division Chief in liaising with the professional community and the public as needed.Conduct teaching rounds or conferences outside the organization to support divisional initiatives.Represent the organization professionally in medical and business communities.Essential SkillsEffective communication via telephone, computer, or other devices.Ability to fulfill after-hours or night call responsibilities as required.Capability to work regular scheduled hours.We are eager to welcome committed clinicians, leaders, scholars, and educators to our vibrant Division of Hospital Medicine.
