Mechanical Engineer II Location: Jefferson Hills, PA (Onsite – South of Pittsburgh, PA)Division: Process Equipment DivisionReports To: Mechanical Engineering SupervisorPosition SummaryThe Mechanical Engineer II is a mid‐level, engineering role responsible for the design and detailing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery used in vacuum systems and related industrial applications. This position applies mechanical engineering principles to support the development of products such as vacuum chambers, sub‐assemblies, integrated systems, robots, and machines. The Mechanical Engineer II may support activities across fabrication, operation, installation, application, and repair of mechanical products. This role requires sound engineering judgment, hands‐on design experience, and the ability to work with some independence under the direction of an experienced Engineer or Supervisor. Creativity and technical ownership are expected.Key Responsibilities Design and detail mechanical components used in company product lines while following established engineering proceduresModify and create mechanical designs for new and existing productsWork within defined project budgets and timelinesCreate and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) in the corporate ERP systemInterface with Sales and Product Management to understand customer and project requirementsCollaborate with the internal machine shop to support cost‐effective manufacturing solutionsEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety requirementsPerform other related duties as assignedRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 2 years of mechanical design experienceStrong 3D CAD experienceStrong working knowledge of GD&T principlesPreferred Qualifications Experience with Solid Edge or other mid‐range 3D modeling softwareExperience designing vacuum systems or related mechanical equipmentWhy Kurt J.
