Manager of Creative Services
The Portland Sea Dogs are looking for an experienced, high-energy Director of Creative Services to elevate our video and graphics.
Qualifications & Requirements:
The position may require long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, especially during the baseball season.
Minimum of 2+ years of video, design, and print production experience in a professional environment, preferably in Minor League Baseball.
Experience in a sports broadcast control room, knowledge of broadcast equipment, and conventions are preferred.
Computer literate with high proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects)
Experience with game presentation software (ClickEffects, MotionRocket, etc.) is a plus
Graphic design and video editing skills are required
Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
Strong customer service skills
Familiarity with various social media platforms
Ability to produce quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to effectively communicate with internal departments regarding design projects.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
General understanding of sports.
Expected Duties:
Design and produce content using Adobe Creative Suite for print (gameday program, media guide, pocket schedules, ticket stock, etc.), marketing materials (sales guide, flyers, newspaper ads, etc.), digital (website, email marketing, social media, digital ads, etc.), signage (concourse posters, schedules, billboards, etc.), and in-stadium displays (player headshots, sponsor graphics, advertisements, etc.)
Hire and manage video operations part-time staff
Organize and archive video files and game footage
Work on the production side of our PSD TV for MiLB TV
Shoot video of interviews and other Sea Dogs’ community events.
Create video features for the video board and website.
Produce updated video content for the season (“Great Moments in Sea Dogs History”, “Mainers in the Majors”, etc.)
Create promotional and sales videos
Cut and upload promotional videos to seadogs.com on a weekly basis
Update and create content for video boards
Run the video board during games
Work with the media relations team to take and edit headshots throughout the season
Train for website maintenance
Redesign internal website pages
Using your proactive creativity to make the Sea Dogs' creative service department the top in all of Minor League Baseball
