Hiring: Educational Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) – CaliforniaWe are currently seeking a qualified Educational Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) for a school-based contract opportunity in Northern California.Location: Northern California (Yreka area)Contract Duration: 13 WeeksSchedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM30-minute meal break includedRole Overview:The Educational Sign Language Interpreter will support students with hearing impairments in mainstream classroom settings by facilitating communication between students, teachers, peers, and school personnel. This role plays a critical part in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.Responsibilities:• Interpret classroom instruction and school-related communication• Support interaction between students and peers/staff• Participate as part of the educational support team• Assist with note-taking, tutoring, and related educational support activities as neededMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentMust meet California Department of Education Educational Interpreting Standards through one of the following:• RID Certification or equivalentOR• Minimum score of 4.0 on EIPA, ESSE-I/R, or NAD/ACCI assessment
