Morgner Construction Management is seeking an experienced Constructability Review Engineer to support one of Southern California's largest educational capital improvement programs. This role is central to constructibility review, value engineering, multidiscipline design coordination, and preconstruction support across multiple capital construction projects. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical expertise with deep experience reviewing pre-bid documents and works closely with design managers, owner authorized representatives, and design professionals to catch inconsistencies early and minimize RFIs and change orders.Duties:Supports the Design Manager and Owner Authorized Representative during the pre-construction phase in the following efforts:Assists in defining and reviewing the Project Requirement Document scope of work and schedule including interim housing requirementsMakes value engineering recommendations at the outset of the designComments on the design professional’s deliverable identifying inconsistencies, ambiguities, conflicts, errors and omissions in the progress plans to reduce RFIs and Change OrdersEnsure documents are coordinated between design disciplines.Prepares comprehensive constructibility review of pre-bid construction documentsCoordinates the above efforts with the Design Manager and Owner Authorized Representative in a collaborative wayPerforms other duties as assignedMinimum RequirementsRequired Qualifications:15 years’ full-time professional paid experience with an Architecture degree and the following:10 of those years must be acting as a Construction Administrator5 years remaining must be acting as a Designer.Construction Administrator experience shall be on a public/educational facilityconstruction project with full responsibility for supporting those projects.Projects shall have a construction value of $8M or more for a single project or with a combined cumulative project value of $80M.OR15 years full time paid professional experience as a Project Superintendent or Project Manager on a public/educational facility construction and/or large commercial projects with full responsibility for coordinating complex projects with construction value of a single project in excess of $30M with a combined cumulative project value of $400M.ORMinimum of two (2) years of college level coursework from a recognized college, university or trade school and five (5) years additional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement.Additional Qualifications:Works quickly, efficiently and confidentlyProficient in writing RFC’s, reviewing submittals and change ordersProficiency in computer programs (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.), including Bluebeam
