JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Data AnalystLocation: Fairport, NY, 14450 (100% Onsite)Duration: 6 Months Contract (Possibility of Extension Based on Business Demand)Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMInterview Process: One Round Onsite Panel InterviewPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Data Analyst to support the final implementation phase of a coating thin film data analysis solution. The system is designed to automate coating run data review and disposition decisions, reducing manual engineering effort.This individual will assume day-to-day technical execution responsibilities for the project. Training and transition support will be provided by the current subject matter expert.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess DeploymentExecute assigned implementation tasks and monitor progress against project timelines.Collaborate with software engineering teams to troubleshoot custom software issues.Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders.Data AnalysisReview and analyze historical thin film coating data.Develop statistical limits (training will be provided).Review and update measurement methods to ensure future data meets defined requirements.Data Migration & ValidationMigrate coating recipe files from legacy Excel formats into a standardized template.Upload migrated data into a SQL database.Validate migrated data using Excel-based tools, macros, and validation processes.Generate test data and verify results.Required EducationAssociate Degree in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field (Minimum Requirement).Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field (Preferred).Required Skills & Experience1–3 years of experience in Data Management and/or Data Analysis.Strong experience working with data management and data analysis.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, templates, macros, and VBA.Ability to work with structured datasets and follow established processes.Basic SQL query experience or willingness to learn (coaching available).Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Preferred ExperienceExperience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment.Prior data migration or database population experience.Experience supporting Data Transformation initiatives, including converting scattered/unstructured data into structured data and validating final results.
