This part-time, per diem role involves operating advanced diagnostic imaging equipment to assist in medical diagnosis and treatment with professionalism and compassion.Job SummaryAs a CT Technologist, you will produce high-quality radiographs of designated body parts, maintain accurate records, and communicate findings effectively with healthcare providers. You will also perform clerical duties such as patient reception, documentation, and exam sign-out, while adhering to strict confidentiality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide prompt and compassionate care to patients.Position patients accurately using accessory devices and instruct on breathing control.Operate X-Ray and CT equipment following health and safety regulations and departmental protocols.Perform clerical tasks including patient scheduling, charging, and report posting.Maintain sterile techniques to prevent contamination.Participate in quality assurance and quality control programs.Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms as part of infection control.Enter patient information into Radiology Information Systems (RIS).Attend department meetings and participate in continuing education.Education and ExperienceGraduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.Minimum of one year of radiologic technologist experience preferred.Licenses and CertificationsRegistration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent as a Radiologic Technologist and CT Technologist, required within one year of hire.Current and unrestricted Radiologic Technologist Certification through the relevant state Department of Health.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Skills and AbilitiesComprehensive knowledge of radiographic equipment operation and maintenance.Ability to adapt exams to patient needs and resolve issues effectively.Understanding of age-specific growth and development principles.Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office and PACS/RIS systems.Strong communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and patients.Excellent organizational and analytical skills with flexibility in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to work on-call shifts as assigned.Physical RequirementsIncludes frequent lifting and carrying of equipment and patients within specified weight ranges, standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
