Job Title: Government Sales Development DirectorJob location: Oxford, CTJob Type: Fulltime (with benefits)Job Description:Key Responsibilities:Market Analysis:Conduct research on government procurement trends, budgets, and upcoming aerospace projects.Identify and analyze opportunities for expanding the company's presence in the government sector.Business Development:Develop and implement strategic plans to target government clients and secure contracts for aerospace manufacturing products and services.Establish relationships with key decision-makers in government agencies and departments.Proposal Development:Collaborate with the technical and proposal teams to create compelling and compliant proposals for government solicitations.Ensure proposals align with government regulations, requirements, and specifications.Contract Negotiation:Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with government clients, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations.Work closely with legal and finance teams to finalize contracts.Customer Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with government clients through regular communication and responsiveness to their needs.Provide exceptional customer service and address any concerns or issues promptly.Collaboration with Internal Teams:Liaise with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure the successful execution of government contracts.Communicate client requirements and specifications to internal teams, facilitating seamless project delivery.Compliance and Regulations:Stay informed about government regulations, policies, and compliance standards relevant to aerospace manufacturing.Ensure that all sales activities and contracts adhere to applicable regulations.Qualifications and Requirements:Education:Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. Additional certifications in sales or government contracting are advantageous.Experience:Proven track record in government sales, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.Familiarity with government procurement processes and regulations.Skills:Strong negotiation and contract management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.Familiarity with CRM software for managing customer relationships.
