We are dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where all team members feel valued and empowered.Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately analyze and code primary care records, including dental and mental health charts after training.Ensure compliance with federal and state coding regulations.Implement organization-specific coding protocols to meet necessary certifications.Provide support for coding and charting inquiries from staff and providers.Complete chart coding promptly, within five days of service.Address patient billing inquiries professionally and with empathy.Post payments to accounts and manage outstanding patient payments, including setting up payment plans as needed.Conduct audits to ensure billing accuracy in collaboration with billing partners.Resolve internal insurance billing discrepancies.Audit medical records to verify proper documentation of services rendered.Monitor and rectify charting errors in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.Master necessary software and tools for effective performance in your role.Analyze and enter medical records as required.Required SkillsExceptional communication abilities combined with a strong sense of integrity and collaboration.A compassionate and professional approach when interacting with patients.Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced medical environment.Openness to constructive feedback and willingness to engage in clarifying discussions with colleagues.QualificationsCertification in ICD-10 and CPT II coding is mandatory.A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in medical coding is required.Experience with coding in School-Based Health Clinics (SBHC) or Rural Health Clinics (RHC) is preferred.Career Growth OpportunitiesWe value the development of our team members and provide ample opportunities for professional growth, including participation in community outreach programs and a continuing education budget to enhance your skill set.Compensation And BenefitsCompetitive Pay: \(21.84 - \)23.84/hour, based on experience and skills.Comprehensive Medical, Dental, & Vision coverage: 100% premium coverage for employees and 50% for dependents.Annual Wellness Benefit: $1,000 for activities that promote joy and well-being.Retirement 401(k) Plan: With company matching.Generous Paid Time Off: 120 hours annually, with additional increases based on tenure.Paid Inclement Weather Leave: 40 hours annually.Eight Paid Holidays: In addition, your birthday is a day off!Access to Free Clinic Care: For you and your family.Benefits become effective on the first of the month following 30 days of employment.Join us in making a significant impact on the health of our communities while advancing your career in a supportive and rewarding environment.Employment Type: Full-Time
