Our client is seeking a strategic, experienced Human Resources leader to serve as a key partner to executive leadership across a multi-site operating group. This Director level role will lead the development and execution of people strategies that support business performance, strengthen organizational capability, and enable long-term growth.The ideal candidate brings deep HR leadership experience in complex, multi-location environments, with particular strength in employee relations, union environments, compliance, talent management, and organizational development. This individual will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership while driving consistency and excellence across all HR practices within the group.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a strategic HR leader and partner to the Operating Group President and leadership teamLead and execute people strategies that align with business objectives and support long-term growthOversee talent management, leadership development, and succession planning across the groupDrive employee engagement initiatives and help foster a positive, high-performance cultureProvide leadership and guidance on complex employee relations matters and broader organizational challengesLead HR efforts in union environments, with a strong focus on compliance and risk mitigationEnsure consistency in employee relations, compliance, and organizational development practices across all locationsPartner closely with Corporate HR and peer HR leaders to share insights, align on best practices, and support enterprise-wide initiativesShape and enhance the overall employee experience across the groupBuild, lead, and develop a strong HR team and strengthen organizational capabilityManage two direct reports and serve as the HR escalation point for indirect reports across the groupQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field12+ years of progressive HR leadership experienceExperience supporting multi-site, group-level, or geographically dispersed operationsStrong background in employee relations, talent management, and organizational developmentProven ability to influence senior leadership and drive strategic initiativesStrong knowledge of employment laws, labor relations, and HR best practicesExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsSignificant union experience requiredStrong compliance background requiredExperience in manufacturing, industrial, or similar environments preferredHR certification such as SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferredPreferred Leadership ProfileStrategic and hands-on leader who can balance executive partnership with operational executionStrong business acumen and ability to align HR strategy with organizational goalsSkilled at leading through complexity, change, and organizational growthEffective coach and mentor with a collaborative leadership styleAble to build credibility quickly and influence at all levels of the organizationWhat Success Looks LikeHR strategies are aligned with business priorities and support measurable organizational performanceEmployee relations and compliance practices are consistent and effective across all locationsLeadership pipelines and succession plans are strengthened across the groupEmployee engagement and culture initiatives drive a positive and high-performing work environmentHR teams are developed, empowered, and positioned to support future growth
