With a reputation for integrity, hustle, and hands-on service, we are scaling rapidly—and we're looking for a sharp, reliable Automotive Service Writer to join our team and grow with us.Position Overview:We are seeking a professional and experienced Automotive Service Writer to manage incoming service calls, create repair orders, communicate effectively with customers and mechanics, and ensure timely, efficient repairs of our inventory and customer vehicles.You'll be the key communicator between our customers, sales/service departments, and outsourced mechanics/body shops. This is your opportunity to become part of a dealership that values precision, performance, and accountability.Responsibilities:Answer and manage all incoming service-related callsOpen and manage Repair Orders (ROs) in our systemAccurately input and manage vehicle service data and parts logsCoordinate vehicle diagnosis, repairs, and parts ordersCommunicate with mechanics, body shops, and vendorsProvide timely updates to customers and internal departmentsMaintain organized records of all service activityFollow up on pending parts and service completionsMonitor shop productivity and parts delivery statusRequirements:Must have strong data entry skills and full DMS experience Experience using Auto Action, DealerSocket, Frazer, or similar systemsMust be able to accurately enter RO details, labor hours, part costs, etc.Strong understanding of basic automotive systems and terminologyExcellent communication and customer service skills(English/Spanish) is strongly preferred 60% of our customer base is bilingualOrganized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask under pressureMust have valid driver's license and reliable transportationWhat We Offer:Competitive pay based on experienceOpportunity to grow with a fast-scaling dealershipSupportive leadership and clean operational systemsDirect involvement with dealership owners and decision-makersPotential for bonus based on performance and efficiencyMonday–Saturday schedule with one day off during the weekJob Type: Full-timePay: $41,600.00 - $50,000.00 per yearShift:8 hour shiftWork Days:Monday to FridayWeekends as neededWork Location: In personCompany Description John Kamal Cars is a fast-growing Buy Here Pay Here dealership in Southwest Houston, known for its high energy, tight operations, and commitment to second chances.
