Senior Windows Systems Engineer (Performance & Infrastructure)We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Windows Systems Engineer to lead performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization across enterprise Windows Server environments. This role is ideal for a hands-on infrastructure expert with deep expertise in Windows internals, Active Directory engineering, performance diagnostics, and enterprise-scale system reliability.The ideal candidate will bring strong experience optimizing Windows infrastructure, resolving complex production issues, and improving scalability, performance, and operational resilience across hybrid environments.Key ResponsibilitiesLead performance tuning and optimization across Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments, including CPU, memory, disk I/O, network utilization, and system throughput.Diagnose and resolve complex system bottlenecks using advanced troubleshooting methodologies and root cause analysis (RCA).Design, implement, and support highly available, scalable Windows infrastructure solutions.Manage and optimize Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), including domain controllers, replication, FSMO roles, Kerberos authentication, LDAP, AD site topology, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.Serve as a senior escalation point for production incidents, ensuring rapid issue resolution and minimal business disruption.Automate administrative and operational tasks using PowerShell scripting and related automation tools.Collaborate with application, database, cloud, and infrastructure teams to improve end-to-end performance and system efficiency.Support hybrid cloud environments (Azure/AWS), including workload performance optimization, migration support, and operational improvements.Maintain enterprise monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational standards, troubleshooting guides, and runbooks.Required Qualifications8+ years of experience administering and engineering enterprise Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022)Strong expertise in Windows performance tuning, troubleshooting, and systems optimization at the OS and infrastructure layersDeep knowledge of Windows internals, including processes, threads, memory management, authentication flows, and performance behaviorHands-on experience with Active Directory Domain Services, including replication troubleshooting, FSMO roles, Kerberos/LDAP authentication, domain controller optimization, GPOs, DNS, and DHCPProficiency with PowerShell scripting and automationExperience with VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization platformsStrong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, latency, throughput, load balancing)Experience using enterprise monitoring and diagnostic tools such as PerfMon, Sysinternals, Dynatrace, SolarWinds, SCOM, or equivalentProven ability to troubleshoot across compute, storage, network, and infrastructure layersPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting Azure and/or AWS hybrid environmentsExperience with capacity planning, system reliability, disaster recovery, and infrastructure observabilityStrong documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
